It simply comes loose too often. It pushes to the side and I'll find myself reaching back every so often to smack it back in place. Install is easy, but unfortunately, the idea just doesn't work properly because it doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

The added hinges makes the M2 less sturdy than the M1 because the bolts just don't simply have the strength to hold tight on rough ground. This M2 is thinner than the M1 which means you'll still get a soaked butt and legs in wet conditions. The quick release is a novel idea that simply is a bad idea for fenders on bikes. Who in their right mind has the desire to park their bike on the sidewalk, remove their dirty, muddy, and soaked fender, then carry inside with them? I don't know about some folks, but I can say for most people that we do not want our fenders coming off our bikes once they're on. Also,if you bike in the city constantly you may find your fender stolen within the first week of riding. This can be prevented by taping the heck outta the thing, but the cheap plastic parts that hold the fender to the post come loose pretty quickly, and you'll be constantly tinkering with it. Do yourself a favor and buy the cheaper and better Defender M1.
